Frequently asked questions

Common questions, answered clearly

Choosing support for yourself or someone you care about is an important decision. These answers are written to keep the process straightforward.

Who is Root to Rise Coaching for?

Root to Rise Coaching is designed for teens, young adults, and adults with special needs who benefit from gentle structure, adaptive support, and practical wellness guidance. Parents, caregivers, schools, and organizations can also access workshops and collaborative support.

What happens in a coaching session?

Sessions may include adaptive movement, routine planning, healthy habit support, reflection, confidence-building, and simple wellness tools. The exact mix depends on the participant’s goals, comfort level, and support needs.

Is this therapy or medical care?

No. Root to Rise Coaching is educational and lifestyle-based. It does not replace medical care, mental health care, nutrition therapy, or other regulated services.

Can caregivers be involved?

Yes, when appropriate. Caregivers may be part of the fit call, receive optional check-ins, or help reinforce routines at home. The participant’s voice and autonomy remain central.

Do you offer group options?

Yes. Small group coaching and workshops can be offered where there is a good fit for age, pace, and support needs.

How is pricing handled?

Pricing and session structure are discussed during the fit process so the level of support can be matched to the individual or organization. If you want to publish pricing later, add it to the programs page and contact page in a consistent format.

Can I submit receipts to insurance?

Services are generally private-pay unless otherwise stated. Receipts are available for services rendered, but reimbursement depends on the insurer, program, province, provider credentials, and the exact service. Always confirm with the relevant third party first.

What if I am not sure which support option is right?

That is exactly what the fit call is for. The first conversation is meant to clarify goals, comfort level, and the kind of support that would feel manageable.
